Amy has been working in veterinary medicine since she was in high school in 2003. She started out at J. Everett Light Career Center in the veterinary assisting program. She worked as an assistant in private practices for many years before going to Harrison College in 2011-2013 where she obtained her associate's degree and earned her Registered veterinary technician license in 2013. She then went back to Harrison College in 2017 as a veterinary technician instructor where she taught students how to do what she's loved since 2004. She came to VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in December of 2018, after Harrison College suddenly closed, where she found her new love of specialty surgery. She enjoys challenging cases that enable her to continue to learn the best patient care practices while utilizing her skills from her previous experience.
Amy lives on the southeast side of Indianapolis with her husband and two children. When Amy is not at the hospital, she can be found working out, watching zombie shows with her husband, or wrangling her two crazy kiddos.
