Dr. Smart went to undergraduate school at the University of North Carolina and received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University. After completing a one-year rotating internship at California Veterinary Specialist, Dr. Smart was very excited to join the team permanently at our Ontario office in our emergency and critical care services. Dr. Smart is certified in veterinary acupuncture and has a special interest in emergency surgery and pain management in the critical care unit.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, running and traveling as often as possible. She has one dog, Indigo, who has enjoyed getting to play in the Southern California dog beaches.
