Gemma began her career in the veterinary field in 2013 as an emergency room technician ultimately obtaining her registered veterinary technician license in 2019. She joined the VCA family at that time, becoming a dedicated oncology technician. Currently she is working towards her veterinary technician specialty certification in Oncology. Her goals as a veterinary oncology nurse are to provide compassionate and skilled care to her patients while providing a comforting and supported environment for their owners.
Outside of the hospital she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her three dogs.
