Lindsey is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota (SKöL VIKINGS!) and moved to San Diego in 2009. She loves the warm sunny Southern California weather and does not miss the snow at all. Lindsey first began working with animals in 1999 as a pet adoption counselor at a humane society while studying journalism and film writing in college. Lindsey soon discovered that her passion was working with small animals, and the rest is history. She has taken on several roles in varying settings throughout her veterinary career ranging from kennel attendant, customer service, and lead veterinary assistant. Lindsey accepted the surgical coordinator position at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in 2019.
Lindsey is a life-long cat owner and currently has three cats of her own. She is also a lover, supporter, and advocate of bats (and wildlife, in general) and routinely participates in wildlife fundraising and educational events. Lindsey enjoys spending her free time with her boyfriend and cats, traveling, watching NFL and MLB games and UFC events, visiting breweries, supporting local restaurants and farmers markets, attending concerts/live music, and singing karaoke.
