Dr. Haylie Lawson, originally from Willows, CA, graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2014. She attended veterinary school at St. George's University in the beautiful Caribbean, graduating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2019. She moved back and completed a one-year rotating internship here at VCA PetCare East! Furthering her focus in Oncology, Dr. Lawson went on to complete a three-year residency in Medical Oncology at Iowa State University. She became board certified and re-joined the team at VCA PetCare East in 2023. Dr. Lawson is very passionate about maintaining a good quality of life for each of her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Lawson enjoys being outdoors. She likes camping, hiking, kayaking, and going to the beach. She has two dogs, Lassen and Sutter, and one amazing kitty, Ralphie.
