Dr. Kristan Bonnett was born in Oklahoma, and grew up in New Mexico and then Humboldt County before graduating from UC Davis with her biochemistry degree. She also obtained her veterinary degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and upon graduation, was one of the original interns at VCA PetCare East. After working for a little while at VCA PetCare East after her internship, she joined a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital in Sacramento and worked as an emergency veterinarian for six years before returning to VCA PetCare East, where she also practices emergency medicine.

Kristan moved back to Sonoma county about 10 years ago to be closer to family, and because "I missed this beautiful county." When not at the hospital, Kristan enjoys Hiking, weight training, reading, traveling and spending time with her kids and their many animals.
