Dr. Kristy Bowles, originally from Mt. Shasta, CA, started working in the veterinary field at the age of 15 in mixed animal medicine. She went on to work at a clinic that specialized in avians and exotics. Dr. Bowles attended Sonoma State University, graduating in 2005. She worked as a technician at PetCare leading up to veterinary school. She attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2011.
Dr. Bowles completed a rotating internship with a focus on emergency medicine, surgery, and internal medicine here at VCA PetCare East, which she completed in 2012. Dr. Bowles' professional interests include emergency medicine and surgery.
When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful daughters. She enjoys many outdoor activities. Some mountainous hobbies including camping, hiking, and skiing. She also enjoys playing golf, surfing, swimming, and horseback riding. Her family has Silas, a Boston terrier; Rip, a Boston terrier mix; and a longhair cat named Tommy.
