Dr. Couts and his family moved from Ohio to Massachusetts in 2017 so his wife could complete her residency in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at Tufts University. She has now completed the residency and we congratulate her. He is a 2006 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and he is a Certified Fear Free™ Professional.

In addition to many years working full time at veterinary clinics in Ohio, Dr. Couts was the shelter veterinarian for the Toledo Animal Shelter for more than 10 years. He's also volunteered extensively with retired racing greyhounds. He has an interest in behavior and likes both surgery and medicine.
